What we don't collect
The most private data is the data that was never gathered. Here's what XWave deliberately chooses not to collect — and why.
Most privacy pages list everything a company does collect, in language dense enough that no one reads it. We think the more interesting list is the opposite one: what we deliberately choose not to collect.
No advertising profiles
We don't build a profile of you to target ads. We're not trying to model your interests, predict your behaviour, or package you up for advertisers. That entire category of data collection simply doesn't exist at XWave, because that isn't how we make money.
No selling your data
This one is short because it needs to be: we don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. Your information isn't a revenue stream.
No unnecessary tracking
We avoid the web of third-party trackers that follow people around the internet. We collect only what's genuinely required to run the service reliably — and we try hard to keep even that to a minimum.
Collect less, keep less
Every piece of data you don't collect is a piece of data that can't be leaked, subpoenaed, or misused. So we start from the assumption that we shouldn't keep something, and only make exceptions where there's a real, operational reason to.
Why it matters
Privacy isn't a single feature you can switch on. It's the sum of hundreds of small decisions about what a product is even allowed to know about you. Choosing to collect less is one of the most meaningful of those decisions — and it's one we make on purpose, every time.
