Our approach to privacy

Privacy at XWave isn't a marketing checkbox — it's a set of decisions baked into the product. Here's how we think about it.

Plenty of apps say they care about your privacy. Fewer explain what that actually means for the choices they make. So here's the honest version of how we think about privacy at XWave.

Privacy is the default, not a setting

The most private experience is the one you don't have to configure. XWave is designed so that privacy is the default state for everyone — not a mode you have to find, enable, and remember. You shouldn't need to be an expert to be protected.

We're not in the advertising business

A lot of "free" apps are free because you are the product — your attention and your data get packaged and sold. That's not our model. We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't sell your information. It's a simple line, and we don't cross it.

Collect less, keep less

The safest data is the data that was never collected in the first place. We aim to gather only what's genuinely needed to run the service well, and to hold onto as little as possible for as long as necessary.

You stay in control

Your conversations and your data belong to you. You can export them, delete them, or leave whenever you like — no dark patterns, no hostage-taking of your information.

Trust is earned, not claimed

We know privacy promises are easy to make and harder to keep. Our commitment is to keep making product decisions that respect you, to be clear about how XWave works, and to give you the control to verify it for yourself.

That's the standard we hold ourselves to — and the one we think you should hold every app to.
